Welcome to the Tantin Laboratory

Our research aims to understand the role of mammalian transcription factors in lymphocyte development and function, in stem cells, and in pluripotency. We also study misregulation of transcription factors in various malignant states. Transcription factors are used to achieve specific gene expression patterns. Because these patterns are critical for successful development and signal response, aberrations in transcription factor function lead to myriad human disorders such as immune dysfunction and cancer. To investigate these problems, we use engineered mouse models along with biochemical, molecular biological and genomic approaches. Our work spans the spectrum from basic molecular mechanisms to normal and disease state physiologies.
